Ferguson Sales/Management Trainee (http://www.ferguson.com/) (Sales, Management, Operations, Purchasing, Credit, or Supply Chain. Internships also available.) Ferguson approaches our 12-18 month, entry-level training program from a "hands on" point of view. You will be introduced to the warehouse and counter where you will gain credibility and learn extensive product knowledge in a short period of time. From there, you will focus on your specific area of interest. Performance is the element that will determine how rapidly you move through the training program. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Outgoing Personality, Confidence, Self-Motivation, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Trustworthiness, Persistence, Attention to Detail, Ability to Follow Through, Entrepreneurial Spirit Future career opportunities include outside sales, operations and management. Ferguson promotes heavily from within, 90% of promotions are internal. Stock Building Supply Management Trainee (http://www.stockbuildingsupply.com/) (Operations, Distribution, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Credit, Construction Loans and Supply Chain) This 1-year, hands-on, entry level program covers all facets of our business with a focus on one of the following: Operations/Distribution, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Credit, Construction Loans or Logistics. The ideal candidate must have a BS/BA degree in a related discipline, such as: Industrial Distribution, Logistics and Materials Management, Construction Management, Operations Management and Supervision, Distribution, Business Management or the equivalent in work experience and is willing to relocate as needed. The individual must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of general accounting/business principles. Prior experience in any facet of our business is a plus. Upon completion of the program, trainees will be qualified for placement in mid to upper level positions throughout Stock Building Supply. Wolseley Canada Graduate Training Program (http://www.wolseleyinc.ca/) (Supply Chain, Sales and Operations) The program will provide you with extensive hands-on training in addition to an on-going curriculum of formalized training. During the program, you will work along with program participants in 2 challenging on-the-job assignments. This 18-month program will cover all facets of our business. Qualifications: Canadian citizenship, University Degree, Demonstrated strong leadership and initiative throughout their University program, Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, Strong interpersonal skills with customer service focus, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Adaptable to a changing environment, Bilingual in English and French would be preferred, Relocation may be required. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be qualified for placement in a professional role with Wolseley Canada.
